Silyl-­Terminated Polether polymers CAS NO 75009-88-0

 Silyl  Terminated  Polyether  Technology  is  a  fast-growing  product  technology  that  is   used  in  formulations  for  sealant-adhesives  for  a  wide  variety  of  substrates.  The  majority  of  these  types  of  products  are  one  component,  with  air  moisture  being  the   second  component.  While  initially  the  main  benefits  of  MS  Polymer technology   containing  products  were  mainly  focused  on  the  'safety'  related  matters   (environmental  as  well  as  human  safety),  nowadays  also  significant  performance   benefits  can  be  claimed.  Indeed,  recent  progress  in  the  polymer  design  and  formulation   optimization  allow  more  critical  applications  to  be  handled  with  MS  Polymer   technology  dueto  improved  mechanical,  adhesion  and  rheology  properties.  Also,  many   applications  can  be  done  without  a  primer  making  installation  faster  than  other   adhesive/  sealant  technologies.  


ADVANTAGE OF MS POLYMER

1. is easy to use: it can be extruded from cartridges with a low force even at low temperature. A continuous flow of sealant with stable viscosity is the norm. Furthermore, smoothing and tooling of the joint are easier with MS Sealant than with any other kind of sealant.

2.exhibit good primerless adhesion to a wide range of substrates that are commonly used in construction and industry, such as PVC, Aluminum, Glass, Steel, Ceramic, Plywood and many of the newly developed materials for construction.

MS technology enables formulators to customize from a very low modulus sealant with 100% modulus at 60psi, to a very high strength adhesive with lap shear strength of 1,500psi.
