Abstract
Dry Silane XLM31 is free-flowing granules masterbatch of liquid silane blend XL31. XL31 is a vinyl silane mixture cross-linking system (with no antioxidant and metal deactivator ) developed for use in moisture cross-linking of low and medium voltage (up to 36 KV)cables, . Silane blend XL31 is the equivalent product to XL PEarl® 31 of Momentive OSi Specialties. With a foamed polymer as the carrier.
Dry Silane XLM31 is the master batch of XL31 adsorbed on foamed polyethylene pellets.

Feature
Dry silane XLM30+2 is free-flowing granules masterbatch with high silane active content with many advantages as below:
1. Quicker incorporation during mixing and more uniform distribution.
2. Greater accuracy in measuring rather than liquids.
3. Improved processability, safety and convenience.
4. Lower pollution and user-friendly.
XLM31 Dry Silane masterbatch contains no antioxidant so it has to be used in conjunction of a stabilized LLDPE grades. In case of using unstabilized LLDPE grades a dedicated antioxidant or antioxidant/metal deactivator master batch has to be added.
Application
It is mainly used for crosslinking of low- and medium-voltage power cables based on stabilized polyethylene resins. Improves stability. Prevents premature crosslinking.
Dosage
Depending on the formulation and performance target, a dosage level of 1~2% active silane is needed (e. G. When using XLM31LL1, an addition of 2.5- 5 % is recommended).
Packing
This product is available in 20 kg aluminum foil bag and 200 liters steel drum. Other custom-tailor packing is possible on special request.
Storage and shelf life
Should be stored in dry, cool, ventilated room; Keep away from water, moisture, high temperature and fire. Packages already opened should be used up immediately; Otherwise this product will react with the moisture in the air and will be not qualified for use.
This product has a shelf life of at least 6 months in the original packing.
