Description
Formulated silane VS-911( Silcat VS-911silane from Momentive)is an optimized silane grafting systems for the manufacturer of Sioplas compound used for:
- Under-floor heating
- Hot water pipes for radiators
- Sanitary and drinking water distribution
Formulated silane VS-911 silane( Silcat VS-911silane from Momentive), a proprietary grafting system, ensures a stable grafting process during the first step and a high crosslinking density on the cured pipe (second step).
Recommended resins
Type of HDPE resin:
Melt index(190 c/2.16kg) 0.2 to 8.0 g/10 min
Density 0.945 to 0.955 g/cm3
The moisture content of base resins must be less than 200 ppm. Pre-drying of the base resin at 70c by means of an air desiccator is highly recommended.
Optimum addition level of formulated silane VS-911 has to be experimentally determined. As starting point does level is as follows:
Formulated silane VS-911 silane 1.2~2.2%
Melt temperature during the grafting 220~230 c
