Description
SLX-VS890/1 silane (Silox VS-890/1 silane from Momentive)is a fully stabilized, silane grafting system (silane, peroxide, antioxidants and metal deactivator) specially developed for the manufacture of moisture curable Sioplas cable compounds. It provides excellent performance on dedicated continuous compounding equipment such as twin screw extruders or Ko-Kneaders.
1. SLX-VS890/1 silane(Silox VS-890/1 silane from Momentive) contains a fully stabilized package and can be used in conjunction with a wide range of non-stabilized LDPE and LLDPE resins
2. With an appropriate resin, insulated copper conductor cables can meet the IEC aging test requirements of 7 days at 135° C
3. Prevents polymer degradation during the grafting process
4. Provides optimum antioxidant dispersion
5. High SADT value (self-accelerated decomposition temperature) over 55° C ensures safe shipment, storage and handling
6. High onset temperature of SLX-VS890/1 silane (Silox VS-890/1 silane from Momentive) prevents pre-crosslinked particles (fish eyes)
